The Kardashian family's longtime bodyguard, Mason Haynes, has died following a motorcycle accident.
According to a GoFundMe page created for his family, Haynes died on July 4, just two days before his 53rd birthday.
As per People magazine, "Two days before what would have been his 53rd birthday, Mason’s life was taken far too soon in a tragic road traffic accident," the fundraiser read.
The page described the deceased as a "protector," "mentor" and "a giant in every sense of the word, with an even bigger heart," adding that he is survived by his wife Fay and their two children, Brooke and Noah.
His employer, Trojan Security UK, also paid tribute to him on Instagram, writing, "We would like to pay homage to an absolute legend in the Close Protection game. Big Mason. Gone too soon. Rest easy and fly high Brother."
During his career, Haynes worked with several high profile stars, including the Kardashian family, Kevin Hart, Charlie Puth, Lewis Hamilton and Nicki Minaj.
In a 2018 interview, he said his career in celebrity protection began after taking a security job while studying, which later led to long term work with well known public figures.
