Natalie Joy has opened up about the emotional challenges of early motherhood, revealing that postpartum anxiety has left her feeling overwhelmed whenever husband Nick Viall is away from home.
Speaking on the July 15 episode of The Viall Files podcast, Joy described the emotional adjustment following the birth of the couple's twin daughters, Iris Parker and Dove Tomlin, on June 30.
She admitted that although she is recovering physically, the emotional side of postpartum has been far more difficult than she anticipated.
"I feel like I'm not a good mom without him," Joy said, explaining that she experiences separation anxiety whenever Viall leaves the house.
According to People, she praised her husband for taking an active role in caring for their newborns, saying he handles nighttime feedings, diaper changes and supports her while she pumps, making the transition to a family of five much easier.
The couple, who are also parents to two-year-old daughter River Rose, are navigating the challenges of helping their eldest adjust to becoming a big sister.
Moreover, Joy said River has embraced the twins but sometimes acts out for attention, leaving the couple trying to balance discipline with understanding.
Joy's candid comments come just weeks after she shared that her postpartum recovery had been physically demanding, describing the experience as feeling "like I was hit by a bus."
The couple have previously spoken publicly about the heartbreak of three miscarriages in 2025, making the arrival of their twin daughters especially meaningful.
