Fern Britton has revealed that none of her four children have followed her into the entertainment industry, saying they have instead built careers far removed from the world of television and celebrity.
The former This Morning presenter said her family has avoided the so-called "nepo baby" route despite her decades-long broadcasting career.
Speaking about her children, Britton shared that her youngest daughter works in construction, another daughter is training to become a nurse, one son is a teacher, while another is pursuing a career related to child psychology.
According to Daily Mail, Britton said her children had never shown much interest in fame.
Recalling a conversation with her eldest daughter, she remembered her asking as a child whether television was "really boring," a remark Britton said reflected her family's lack of fascination with showbusiness.
The broadcaster, who spent a decade presenting ITV's This Morning, has increasingly stepped away from full-time television in recent years.
Alongside occasional TV appearances, she has focused on writing novels and enjoys a quieter lifestyle in Cornwall.
Britton also reflected on this new phase of life, saying that with her children grown and living independently, she has rediscovered the freedom she last experienced as a teenager.
Furthermore, she described embracing hobbies, spending time with friends and finding joy in everyday life after years balancing a high-profile career with family responsibilities.
