Amanda Seyfried opened up about the time when her Housemaid costar was going through a rough patch.

The American actress worked with the controversy queen, Sydney Sweeney, for her 2025 movie.

Notably, the promotions of the movie were taking place when the Euphoria star found herself in hot waters because of her American Eagle ad.

Now, in a candid conversation with GQ Magazine, the Mamma Mia! star revealed she was there for the 28-year-old but would not address anything herself.

She stated, "We had a great time on the press tour, We worked really hard and she seemed to be having fun, but I also understood that probably it can't be f---ing easy, where she found herself…"

Amanda added, "I have heard her stand up for herself, but I think she found herself between a rock and a hard place."

When asked how she helped Sydney through that period in her life, the 40-year-old revealed, "I don't want to be a source of anything, but whatever you need. You need some fun, you need to laugh, you need cake with me? That's fine,"

It is to be noted 2025 was a difficult year for the Euphoria star as she was called a racist after her ad for jeans went viral in which she said, "Sydney Sweeney Has Great Jeans (Genes)."
