Ed Sheeran makes unexpected announcement during LOOP tour
‘Perfect’ singer opens up about focusing on his personal life for some time
Ed Sheeran recently made unexpected announcement about taking a hiatus from his career.
The Perfect singer addressed the audience during the opening night of his North American LOOP tour in Glendale, Arizona.
Interestingly, Sheeran hinted that they might not see him for some tine once the tour would finish.
The Photograph crooner revealed he wanted to step away from the spotlight so that he could focus on his dad duties.
“This is gonna be my last time here in a while,” said the 35-year-old.
Sheeran pointed out that he “might take some time off once this tour has ended and sort of do the dad thing”.
“If I don’t see you for a while, I love you. Thank you for coming,” added the Shape of You singer, who shares two daughters with his wife Cherry Seaborn.
Sheeran’s news came weeks after he confirmed he was leaving his record label.
While speaking to fans, the singer opened up that he made this decision because of his personal reasons.
“This isn’t a disgruntled artist leaving a label. This is a boy who started as a teenager… to the father of two man who exists now, who feels like he needs a shift and change,” stated Sheeran.
