Sharon Stone recently dived into her past and has made a revelation that has shocked the world.
The American actress recalled a time when she was suffering from major health issues and her husband decided to leave.
Opening up about the year, 2001, on Monday's episode of David Begnaud's The Person Who Believed In Me podcast, the actress confessed how she made the decision for the treatment.
For the unversed, the 68-year-old was diagnosed with breast cancer at that time and doctors suggested her to cut her breasts off.
She stated, "One of [the tumors] was bigger than the size of my entire left breast,"
She then went on to add that, "The doctor had come out to my house and said, 'Look, we think you should have a bilateral mastectomy. This is really bad. And we usually, when they're all the way up into here, we know before we go in that they're cancer."
The Basic Instinct stars stated that when she took the decision to get the mastectomy, her husband told her that she "don't' get to decide that.
Sharon then told him, "I do get to decide that. But I am deciding that I will have a bilateral, because I'm not f***ing around.' And my husband said, 'This is ridiculous.' And got up and left the room."
The Casino heroine admitted that at that point, it was the end of her marriage and they both went their separate ways.
"It was just over in the room. You could just tell. It was over. He thought I was ridiculous. He thought it was foolish. He thought I was making too many decisions myself." Sharon concluded the topic.
It is to be noted that the actress is now cancer and tumor-free.
