Demi Moore has opened up about the personal motivation behind her latest project, the climate-focused documentary Groundswell, revealing that her family—particularly her granddaughter Louetta—was a driving force behind her decision to get involved.

Moore serves as an executive producer and narrator of the documentary, which explores regenerative agriculture and sustainable farming practices as potential solutions to the global climate crisis.

The film is set to premiere on Prime Video on June 5 and marks the third installment in a documentary trilogy from filmmakers Josh Tickell and Rebecca Tickell.

Speaking about the project, Moore said becoming a grandmother made her think more deeply about the future of the planet.

According to People, the actress shares daughters Rumer Willis, Scout Willis and Tallulah Willis with former husband Bruce Willis and said she often reflects on what kind of world future generations will inherit.

The documentary follows communities around the world—from Uganda to India and Brazil—where regenerative farming has had a positive environmental impact.

As per the outlet, Moore said she was drawn to the film’s hopeful and solution-oriented message, describing it as an opportunity to inspire meaningful change rather than focus solely on environmental challenges.

Premiering after its debut at the Cannes Film Festival, Groundswell also features support from environmental advocates and celebrities including Woody Harrelson, Laura Dern, Jason Momoa and Donald Glover.
