Ella Bright responds to backlash over 10-year age gap with co-star

Ella Bright is speaking out after fans raised concerns over her nearly 10-year age gap with co-star Belmont Cameli in the hit romance drama.

Bright plays Hannah Wells opposite Cameli’s Garrett Graham in the television adaptation of The Deal. 

The pair’s intimate scenes quickly sparked debate online after viewers learned Bright was 18 during filming while Cameli was 28.

Addressing the criticism during an appearance on the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast, Bright said she fully understood the nature of the role before signing onto the project. 

According to Daily Mail, she explained that the cast and crew created a supportive environment on set and insisted she never felt uncomfortable despite being younger than many of her co-stars.

Moreover, the actress also revealed that producers were transparent about the show’s intimate scenes and nudity requirements from the beginning. 

As per the outlet, showrunner Louisa Levy reportedly held detailed conversations with actors before filming began, while an intimacy coordinator remained involved throughout production.
