Spanish actress recalls being warned about her health during production of ‘The Black Ball’ movie
Penélope Cruz recently made shocking revelation about her health at the Cannes Film Festival on May 22.
The Spanish actress disclosed that she was warned of a potential brain aneurysm during the production of her new movie, The Black Ball (La Bola Negra) on Friday.
Cruz, who plays a role of a cabaret singer in the latest movie, shared that she got the news of medical emergency from a doctor on the night-shoot sequences.
The actress mentioned that the scenes were quite difficult because her character performs for soldiers.
“And then when we’re about to go out, I was putting on my wig, and they said, ‘Oh, apparently you have some brain aneurysm,'” she revealed.
Sharing her reaction, Cruz stated, “I thought I was about to die. This is something that was totally surreal in my life.”
However, the Vanilla Sky actress was suggested to continue shoot the following day after the doctor gave her medical clearance.
Describing the moment as transformative, Cruz noted, “It’s a total miracle… I have to, I must have this in me.”
Meanwhile, the actress highly appreciated her production team for their constant support throughout the health issue.
“You experience these things together, yet despite all this, despite the hardship, you can move forward in life,” she added.
