Hayden Panettiere has admitted she is already bracing herself for the day her daughter follows her lead and falls for an older man.
The former Heroes star, now 36, reflected on her romance with co-star Milo Ventimiglia, whom she dated when she was 18 and he was 30.
Despite the age gap causing headlines at the time, Hayden insists there was “nothing creepy” about the relationship and says her family fully supported it.
Speaking candidly about her past, Nashville star revealed she believes her 11-year-old daughter Kaya, whom she shares with former heavyweight boxer Wladimir Klitschko, may one day make similar choices.
She said that she feels “ready and prepared” for that possibility, explaining that maturity mattered more than age in her own relationship with Milo.
According to the Heroes actress, working together constantly meant they shared similar experiences and understood each other better than outsiders realised.
She also opened up about revisiting her personal life in her memoir, This Is Me: A Reckoning, saying she wanted to finally “tell the truth” after years of rumours and assumptions about her private life.
The Scream actress admitted one of the hardest moments came when Milo unexpectedly ended their romance.
Recalling the painful split, Hayden said she was left devastated and in tears, describing the heartbreak as feeling like “my world had crumbled”.
She even claimed Milo briefly reconsidered the breakup after seeing her emotional reaction, with the actress remembering herself “hysterically crying” over the shock split.
