Hollywood pals and former co-stars gathered in tears this weekend to say a final goodbye to beloved actor Patrick Muldoon, nearly a month after his sudden death at the age of 57.

The former Melrose Place heartthrob tragically passed away on April 19 after reportedly suffering a heart attack while in the shower at his home.

On Saturday, family, friends and former colleagues filled St Monica’s Catholic Church in Santa Monica for an emotional memorial service celebrating his life.

Among those paying tribute was former USC Trojans teammate Rodney Peete, who shared a heartbreaking Instagram message alongside photos from the day.

He wrote: “Tough Day saying goodbye to my friend Pat Muldoon!!! He was my Teammate, My Brother, My Friend… miss you already brotha.”

Also mourning the loss was Sami Sheen, daughter of Denise Richards and Charlie Sheen.

Sami posted a memorial handout featuring a smiling photo of Patrick dressed in a suit beneath the words “Celebration of the spirit of Patrick Muldoon”.

The 22-year-old model later shared an emotional tribute, calling Patrick “someone that everyone loved” and praising his humour, loyalty and larger-than-life personality.

She revealed she had known him nearly her whole life due to his close bond with Denise, who dated Patrick for almost five years after they met in acting class in the 1990s.

The pair remained close friends long after their romance ended and recently reunited professionally on upcoming thriller Dirty Hands.

Patrick’s death certificate later confirmed he died from a myocardial infarction, with pulmonary embolism and hereditary coagulopathy listed as underlying causes.
