Stanley Tucci is once again reacting to the long-running confusion between him and fellow actor Mark Strong.

Speaking recently, the actor opened up about the comparison and how often it happens in public.

On May 5, at a 92NY conversation event in New York City, the Italian-American actor sat down with Josh Horowitz to talk about The Devil Wears Prada 2 and Tucci in Italy, he said,

"Mark Strong, always. We get complimented on each other's performances. It's really great."

He went on to add that the British actor is “such a nice person” and “such a great actor,” admitting that he takes the confusion as a compliment, saying, "I'm very flattered. ... I just go, 'Thank you very much.' "

Meanwhile, the moderator Josh Horowitz joked during the discussion, "All attractive bald men do not look alike, folks," prompting the veteran star to laugh and reply, "Apparently, we do."

However, Mark Strong has also spoken about the ongoing comparison in a past appearance on BBC’s The One Show in 2025.

He stated, "We met, actually, and I had to confess to him that somebody once asked me to sign a poster because they thought I was him, and she wouldn't take no for an answer. So, I just signed it as him."

"And he, when we met, told me he's done the same. So I don't know why we get mistaken for each other," the actor added.
