Hayden Panettiere reflects on bittersweet experience with ex Milo Ventimiglia

Hayden Panettiere recently shared details about her past experience with former older boyfriend Milo Ventimiglia.

The American actress reflected on her 12-year age gap with ex Milo in her upcoming memoir, This is Me: A Reckoning.

At the time, Hayden recalled she was working with him all the time and then her family knew him so well.

“I was also ... At 18, I lived so much life that he almost couldn't count me as being 18. So, Milo and I, even though he was 30, had a lot more in common than people might think,” said the Nashville star.

For the unversed, Hayden and Milo sparked romance in 2006 on the set of Heroes and then they dated for nearly two years. But then they called it quits in 2009.

The Scream VI actress opened up that her family didn’t say anything at the time and if they would find something creepy, they never would have allowed it to happen.

Hayden's 'point of contention' in her relationship with Milo

Hayden remembered that she was quite “invested” in this relationship because she used to see him as her “partner” and she even though it would lead to “marriage”.

However, there was a “point of contention” in her relationship with Milo.

“I didn’t realise or understand why it made me feel so uncomfortable. I could only say ‘love you’ in a casual way,” she said.

Hayden explained, “Being older, he (Milo) was much more aware of what that meant. And that said a lot.”

Hayden and Milo's Brief Reconciliation

The actress further said that the initial breakup with the Gilmore Girls alum was a low point for her, which is why, he took her back a week later.

Speaking of their brief reconciliation, Hayden added, “One hundred percent it was only because I was over the toilet, hysterically crying.”
