Emily Atack unveiled a striking new look while filming scenes for the second season of Disney+ drama Rivals in London.
The actress, who plays ambitious television presenter Sarah Stratton in the Jilly Cooper adaptation, was photographed on set with flowing blonde hair, moving away from the character’s voluminous 1980s-style perm seen in the first season.
Atack appeared in glamorous retro-inspired outfits while shooting scenes for the upcoming series, which is set to return later this month.
According to Daily Mail, the actress has become one of the show’s breakout stars thanks to her portrayal of the chaotic and attention-seeking Sarah Stratton.
Rivals quickly became one of Disney+’s most talked-about dramas after debuting in 2024, with critics praising its mix of scandal, comedy and over-the-top 1980s glamour.
Moreover, the second season has already been described by reviewers as another “bonkbuster” packed with drama, affairs and television industry rivalries.
Recent trailers for the new season teased even more chaos for Sarah Stratton, including complicated romantic storylines and rising tensions inside Corinium television studios.
Atack has also spoken positively about playing Sarah, previously calling the character “an absolute nightmare” while praising the show’s unapologetic approach to female ambition and sexuality.
Production for season two has continued across several UK filming locations including London, Somerset and Wiltshire, with returning cast members including David Tennant, Danny Dyer, Alex Hassell and Aidan Turner.
