Niall Horan gushes over Olivia Rodrigo’s approach to pop music

Niall Horan has nothing but word of praises for the young pop star, Olivia Rodrigo.

Rodrigo, who is known for her banger bridges in songs was lauded by the former One Direction singer.

In an interview with the Rolling Stone, the Slow Hands singer said, “It’s great to hear [bridges]. I feel like Olivia Rodrigo has been a big influence on that for pop writers.”

“What I like about Olivia’s music is [that] you feel like you’re getting one song and then you get a completely different song,” he explained. “It completely flips on its head musically, goes somewhere different, brings you to a bridge, brings you to some weird musical breakdown thing.”

He further revealed that her music is also influencing his own music too.

Horan, himself is gearing up for his fourth studio album, Dinner Party, which is set to release on June 5.

Following the release, he is set to embark on sprawling 22-date tour of Europe, Ireland & the U.K.

He will also perform in United States in Nashville and Hershey, Pennsylvania. Kashus Culpepper and Emily Ann Roberts will open both shows.
