John Cena shares rare insight into his life after retirement from the WWE

John Cena has recently shared rare insight into his life after retirement from the wrestling career.

The wrestler-turned-actor, who is currently filming a romantic comedy for Netflix, reveals to PEOPLE that he’s been able to find more time for friends and family at present.

“You close one chapter and who knows what other one opens,” says the 48-year-old.

After WWE retirement, John explains that he gets more quality time with his wife Shay.

“I think we've managed to find a little more time for each other, which we truly both appreciate,” points out the actor.

Recalling his early years, John mentions that he “came up in an environment where everyone around me was in debt, no one was well off, and nobody taught anybody”.

Elsewhere in the interview, the Heads of State actor reflects on financial literary resources and his conversation with one of his four brothers on a coffee, who was quite depressed.

While speaking to his brother, John asks him what he wants in his life and he responds, “To be happy,' and I love that statement,” but how he is going to achieve it, he has no clue.

Therefore, the Peacemaker actor adds that money “simply is just a tool, and I think so many people who are struggling to financially just want to feel safe, but they have no idea what safe means”.
