Aubrey Plaza speaks up for first time days after pregnancy news broke

Aubrey Plaza has recently confirmed she’s expecting her first child with boyfriend Christopher Abbot.

The Parks And Recreation star opens up about her pregnancy days after the news broke during the upcoming episode of Smartless podcast with Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes and Will Arnett.

“Well, there’s a baby inside of me,” she told the hosts, who all replied in disbelief.

After sharing the news about pregnancy, Aubrey shares that “today was a big day” for her.

“I went to the doctor’s today, and my dog also went to the doctor’s,” says the 41-year-old.

“Both of us — my dog’s getting a scan right now. I got a scan earlier. I’m not kidding,” mentions The White Lotus actress.

Aubery further says that her dog “had to get an ultrasound on her stomach. And then I got an ultrasound on my stomach, and there is a baby in there”.

The Agatha All Along actress admits that she’s “excited” about being a first-time mom.

“I’ve always wanted to see what that’s all about, you know? It just seems so interesting, that whole thing,” adds Aubrey.

Last week, PEOPLE reported the actress is pregnant and set to welcome her first baby with partner Chris.

She is due “this fall,” a source told the publication.

Meanwhile, the pregnancy news came after more than a year following her estranged husband Jeff Baena’s death in January 2025.
