Rebecca Crews recounted when her husband Terry Crew took her to a new treatment of Parkinson.
She recalled that the White Chicks artist noted that she was prepared to die before the treatment.
The patient presented with unexplained symptoms during the past four years was diagnosed with Parkinson in 2015.
The 60-year-old musician first went public with her battle on April 6 on the Today show.
Looking back on the rough times until after treatment, Rebecca informed People, "I was kneeling by my bed, praying and crying."
She went on to explain, "because I had not slept in several nights and was just ready to die."
Terry (57) heard about focused ultrasound which is an FDA-approved treatment that involves the use of sound waves.
Notably, this is to treat areas in the brain that cause tremors and she was persuaded to give it a go, however, she initially had no faith in the treatment.
The results were clear in few hours. "I realized that I could lift my leg without holding onto a table," she marked.
She continued, "And then I realized that I could write and sign my name in perfectly legible handwriting. I couldn't do any of those things before."
"The only reason I'm going public is because I finally have some uplifting information to offer," she concluded.
In September, she will undergo the second procedure.
