Taylor Swift dropped her 12th studio album The Life Of A Showgirl on October 3, 2025 followed by a music video for The Fate of Ophelia.

The 36-year-old singer set several records with her hit songs and continues to dominate the internet.

After its popularity, the Lover crooner’s song got a mariachi cover by Mexican icon Carlos Rivera, singing at a party with an entire band.

Carlos brought the heat to the gathering as he gave The Fate of Ophelia a new look while keeping the original essence.

The cover was widely praised by the online community who now demand to launch this on streaming services. One of the X users penned down: “I need this in Spotify!”

Another netizen speculated that the Grammy winner will “continue owning that charts because there needs to be a collab remix immediately.”

While a third netizen claimed that the musician is “singing the lyrics of the version made with AI.”

Although Taylor is yet to share a response to the energetic video, her album was recently slammed by an original showgirl.

What is the lawsuit against The Life Of A Showgirl?

Maren Wade, a Las Vegas performer, broke silence as she alleged that the studio record’s title was copied from her “Confessions of a Showgirl.”

According to the court documents, the plaintiff argues that “both share the same structure… dominant phrase… used in overlapping markets and are directed at the same consumers.”
