Zayn Malik opens up about his daughter’s views on his music

Zayn Malik has recently opened up about his daughter’s feedback on his music.

The English singer, who is currently promoting his latest single Sideways, was asked about his daughter Khai and what she thinks about his songs during an appearance on latest episode of SiriusXM’s The Pulse.

“There’s some songs, like I’ve said a few times that I don’t want to play to her because obviously there’s cuss words and stuff in there, concepts a bit adult, but she loves my music and she definitely gives me an opinion,” shares the 33-year-old, who shares five-year-old daughter Khai with ex Gigi Hadid.

Zayn tells the host that he does this where his daughter “does like thumbs up, thumbs down, thumb sideways and if you get a thumbs up and a thumb sideways, it means it’s pretty good”.

“She gave me a double thumbs up for a few songs and there was like a side one for one or two, I think, that she wasn’t really into,” mentions the Magic singer.

Elsewhere in the interview, Zayn reveals major reason behind his collaboration with BLACKPINK’s Jisoo.

“She’s into BLACKPINK, and that was kind of, you know, a big reason behind why I did the feature with Jisoo, if I’m being honest, because my daughter’s such a big fan, and I wanted to be cool, you know,” explains the musician.

Zayn however adds that with this association, he got “some good dad points”.

Meanwhile, the singer confesses that he’s “always thinking” about her daughter when he’s making any music.
