Chappell Roan’s security guard Pascal Duvier, who is at the heart of the latest controversy that the singer finds herself in, has finally spoken out about what took place.
The Pink Pony Club singer has been accused of being rude to her fans after Brazilian soccer star Jorginho Frello dished on social media that his young daughter Ada is a massive fan of the popstar and simply walked by her table at a hotel when she and her mom were scolded by her security guard.
Since the incident gained momentum on social media, the 28-year-old has also spoken out to defend herself and say that the guard was not part of her personal security team and insisted that she did not instruct him to talk to the mother-daughter duo.
In a fresh statement Pascal revealed, “I do not normally address online rumors, but the accusations currently circulating are false and constitute defamation.”
“I take full responsibility for the interactions on March 21st. I was at the hotel on behalf of another individual, and I was not part of the personal security team of Chappell RoanThe actions I took were not on behalf of Chappell Roan…” he added.
Pascal went on to say that he made a judgement call based on a number of factors such as prior knowledge, events and the security risks.
Notably, he added that his intentions were good and the interaction with the mother was calm, but that the outcome is regretful.
