Jay Z has recently broken silence on shocking sexual assault allegations in 2024.

The Empire of State Mind rapper shared her thoughts over the lawsuit alleged that Jay Z and Sean Diddy Combs reportedly raped a 13-year-old girl at a party in 2000.

It is pertinent to mention that Sean and the rapper rejected all allegations after the lawsuit was filed in 2024 but the case was dismissed in February 2025.

To mark his 30 years in music, Jay Z spoke to GQ magazine and revealed how he was affected by the case.

“It was hard. Really hard. I was heartbroken. I'm glad we got right to that so we could just get that out the way. Like I was really heartbroken by everything that occurred,” explained the Beyonce’s partner.

The rapper mentioned that they are “in a space now where it’s almost like consequence is not thought about enough”.

“Because everything is so instant, you know what I'm saying?” he continued.

Jay Z pointed out, “That whole [lawsuit thing], that took a lot out of me. I was angry. I haven't been that angry in a long time, uncontrollable anger. You don't put that on someone that's a thing that you better be super sure.”

“I took that really hard. I knew that we were going to walk through that because, first of all, it's not true. And the truth, at the end of the day, still reigns supreme,” added the rapper.
