Olivia Rodrigo hints at what to expect from her new album

Olivia Rodrigo teased what her next record may sound like.

The So American hitmaker, following her 2023 Guts album, has left her fans highly anticipating for the next album.

Fans has even begun to look for clues anywhere they can find. The background of her website recently changed from lavender purple to shade of baby pink and her block-lettered "OR" logo has been replaced by a softer, more swirly version.

While Rodrigo is yet to announce the release date or title, in an interview with the British Vogue shared some details about her album.

Talking about her writing experience, she admitted, "It was a creative challenge to write from a joyful place."

She added, "When you're experiencing that you’re connected to someone, or feeling really good, you’re not in your head thinking about bittersweet poems!"

During the interview the Vampire singer played the outlet three of the new songs, which the Variety writer describes as "instantly transporting, cinematic and so intimate."

Rodrigo confirmed that all the records are "sad love songs," continuing, "I realized all my favourite romantic love songs were beautiful because they had a tinge of fear or yearning in them."

The upcoming album will be her third album after 2023 Guts.
