Timothee Chalamet, who is known for his role in several Hollywood movies, landed in hot waters after he labelled opera and ballet dying art forms in latest interview.

Speaking with Mathew McConaughey, the 30-year-old admitted that he is not willing to work in the ballet or opera as they are the art types “nobody cares about.”

The Wonka star sparked a fierce debate online with celebrities and stars responding to his comments and correcting his opinions.

Meanwhile, a video compilation was posted on X (formerly Twitter) that showed how the actor has been talking about his controversial views since 2019.

Admitting his love for acting and movies back in time, Timothee revealed that he was scared that acting might become “like opera or something, outdated.”

During All Hail The King premiere, the Marty Supreme star called the two fields as “dying art forms,” while he shared in a latest interview that his family members have been ballet.

However, he gushed about growing up “dreaming big back stage.”

What did Doja Cat say about Timothee Chalamet?

Recently, Doja Cat shared her views on TikTok, mocking the Dune lead for his statement. She called him out for having the “audacity to tell the cameras that nobody cares about that.”

The Woman rapper was of the opinion that “opera house right… would be packed” if one choses to visit it.
