Selena Gomez reaches out to grieving Martin Short with heartfelt message

Selena Gomez is supporting her Only Murders in the Building family even though the unimaginable.

On Tuesday, the 33-year-old singer and actress posted a heartfelt black and white picture on Instagram.

The image showed her with co-stars Steve Martin and Martin Short sitting on a mattress in the set.

"My favourite guys," Gomez wrote. "I'll always be there for them as they have been for me. Love you Steve and I love you Marty."

The emotional farewell follows the trio missing the 2026 Actor Awards on March 1 conspicuously due to a family tragedy of the Clifford star.

Short, 75 was nominated in the category of Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Comedy Series.

The ensemble was nominated in the category of the Best Comedy Ensemble- which ended up being awarded to The Studio.

Short lost his 42-year-old daughter Katherine on February 23. 

The family of the decease confirmed in a statement, "It is with profound grief that we confirm the passing of Katherine Hartley Short." 

Continuing, "The Short family is devastated by this loss. Katherine was beloved by all and will be remembered for the light and joy she brought into the world."
