Selena Gomez has taken to her social media to promote one of her best friend Taylor Swift’s songs, and internet users are speculating its impact.
The Lose You to Love Me singer took to her close friends Instagram stories to share a video of her lip-syncing and vibing to a song off of the Evermore singer’s latest album The Life of a Showgirl.
“Does anyone else love a profoundly, clever, and smart lyricist or is that just me???" the Rare beauty founder wrote in the caption as she sung Father Figure, the lyric video of which played on the TV behind her.
Selena donned dramatic green eye shadow in the video, with a nude lip and a full face of makeup, a black cardigan and gold hoop earrings in the clip which was re-shared on social media platforms such as X.
In the comments underneath the video, fans wrote, “father figure streaming boost” and “the boost it will get omg (hopefully).”
“This icon doing unpaid promotion for her bestie,” a third wrote as a fourth speculated, “Some taylena moment happening soon.”
Notably, Selena reflected on her friendship with Taylor in a recent podcast, confirming that the song Dorothea was about her and also revealed that there also exists an unreleased song called 'Family' that the latter wrote about the former.
