Cillian Murphy teased at what to expect from the new upcoming movie, Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man.

The film will begin in 1940 Birmingham, during World War II. With the future of his family and country at stake, he comes out of his self-imposed exile.

In an interview with the Oppenheimer star on the set of Peaky Blinders, he told the Deadline, "If you’re gonna make a film of a TV show, it has to have all the bells and whistles."

He added, "You have to have that kind of cinematic magic dust, and I think we’re achieving that."

He went on to explain how the film came out exactly how he wanted it to be.

"It was pretty much from like 2019-2020. We’ve been talking about this and going through different versions of the script and working it and reworking and revising it," the Oscar-winning actor said.

Season six ended on Tommy (Murphy) ridding off into English hills with what seemed to be an ambiguous ending leaving fans with question of will he ever return.

Murphy said, "I felt that was a satisfying ending, actually, for the TV show. So therefore, if you were to make a film, it really needed to match it, and, in fact, kind of improve on it."

In addition to Murphy, Sophie Rundle, Ned Dennehy, Packy Lee, Ian Peck, and Stephen Graham are reprising their roles, with Rebecca Ferguson, Tim Roth, Jay Lycurgo, and Keoghan as new addition.

Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man will have a limited theatrical release on March 6, 2026. The movie will then stream on Netflix on March 20, 2026.
