Margot Robbie drops shocking revelation about her upcoming film, Wuthering Heights.
The Barbie actress, who is starring as Catharine Earnshaw in the new movie, shared that she first joined the project as a producer.
In an appearance at The Graham Norton Show, the Suicide Squad star revealed that after learning the film was being directed by Emerald Fannell, she decided to try out the lead character's part.
"I wasn't always going to be in it. I was thrilled to be the producer but at some point, we were talking about Cathy, and I decided to throw my hat into the ring," she said.
Robbie admitted that she had a long-time desire to work with the director and was delighted when the casting worked in her favour.
The Wolf of Wall Street star added, "I've always wanted to be one of Emerald's actors and fortunately, she felt the same way. It worked out wonderfully."
Praising the filming, the Australian artist continued saying that Fannell loved the book and channelled the same feelings she felt when she first read book in the film.
Robbie said, "She channels that raw emotional experience so it's an interpretation rather than an adaptation."
Wuthering Heights will be released on February 13.
