Margot Robbie, who is set to star as classical heroin, Catharine Earnshaw in Wuthering Heights adaptation, revealed why she thinks her choice made sense.

In the original story, Catherine marries to heir of Thrushcross Grange, Edgar Linton. The marriage becomes the central catalyst for novel's tragic events.

In an interview with Blavity, the Barbie star reflecting on Catherine's sudden shift from loving Heathcliff, her orphaned childhood friend, to marrying Edgar.

The Wolf of Wall Street star said she initially believed Catherine would never be tempted by wealth or social pressure because her deep love for Heathcliff. However, when she herself walked on set of Thrushcross Grange, she was taken aback by its beauty.

Describing the difference between both the sets, the Suicide Squad actress added, "We'd been shooting at the Wuthering set for like three weeks. All of my costumes stank like horse piss, ’cause the horses were pissing in the sets."

Robbie continued detailing, saying the set was always dark, gloomy and just dirty.

Meanwhile, the Thrushcross Grange "had thousands of real roses making a real garden and it just smelled amazing. And I was like, 'OK, I think I understand. This is really nice.'"

Wuthering Heights directed by Emerald Fennell is slated to be released on Valentine’s Day.
