Natasha Lyonne has bravely opened up about a relapse, speaking with raw honesty about her ongoing battle with addiction.

The 46-year-old actress, best known for Orange Is the New Black and Russian Doll, took to X this week to share the news with fans.

“Took my relapse public more to come. It’s all kinds of fun,” she wrote.

The candid post was met with an outpouring of support from followers, many praising her courage after nearly two decades of sobriety.

One fan reassured her: “Life is hard right now… You had nearly 20 years. You’ll make it back again.”

Natasha replied in her trademark dark humour, thanking the supporter and joking she might “become a pothead or a nun. TBD.”

Later, the actress struck a more reflective tone, offering comfort to others facing similar struggles.

“Recovery is a lifelong process,” she wrote, reminding fans they are “not alone” and encouraging honesty and perseverance.

“Don’t quit before the miracle,” she added, signing off with a heartfelt message of love.

It's worth noting that she has long been open about her difficult past, including time spent in drug and alcohol treatment centres after finding fame at a young age.

Reflecting on her early success, she previously admitted it left her overwhelmed and unsure she was “strong enough” for the journey ahead.

Despite the setback, fans remain hopeful that her resilience, humour and openness will once again guide her back to recovery.
