Stranger Things star Finn Wolfhard has dropped a intriguing hint that Richie Tozier could return to the world of IT

The 23-year-old actor, who rose to fame as the wise-cracking member of the Losers’ Club in the 2017 horror hit and its 2019 sequel, spoke to Esquire about his ongoing connection to the franchise.

“I knew that years ago, actually. When they first started thinking about that show… [Barbara and Andy Muschietti] both told me, ‘You’re involved.’ Yeah, I’m connected,” Finn revealed.

He added with a grin: “I think there’s something else that will come up eventually that I’m excited for people to see.”

Fans will remember Richie from the terrifying adventures in Derry, where the Losers’ Club battled the shape-shifting evil Pennywise, played by Bill Skarsgard.

The story continues in HBO’s IT: Welcome to Derry, which delves into the town’s cursed past and the origins of Pennywise.

Creator Andy Muschietti confirmed plans for two more seasons, teasing that the show will cover other catastrophic events from Stephen King’s original novel.

Reflecting on his meteoric rise to fame via Stranger Things and IT, Finn admitted it hasn’t always been easy.

“No one can prepare anyone for it. It was incredibly exciting,” he said.

With Finn teasing a potential return, fans of the franchise now have plenty to scream about.
