George Clooney has issued a statement about a terrible loss, the death of his dear sister Adelia "Ada" Zeidler.
The ER actor’s elder sibling was 65 when she passed, and the cause of death has been revealed as a devastating disease.
As per People, the sister lost the battle to cancer on December 19, and the 64-year-old shared a few words about the incident, starting with "My sister, Ada, was my hero.”
"She faced down cancer with courage and humor. I’ve never met anyone so brave. Amal and I will miss her terribly,” George added of him and his wife.
The sister’s obituary confirms that she died peacefully at St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Edgewood, Ky, surrounded by friends, family and loved ones.
"A talented artist, she shared her skills as an elementary art teacher at Augusta Independent School for several years. In high school, her academic achievements qualified her to be a National Merit Scholar,” the obituary reads.
Ada was also an avid reader and was a part of a book club as well as being involved in different project with Augusta, before working as a bookkeeper later on in her life.
George has revealed that he had Bell's palsy as a teenager.
