K-pop BLACKPINK’s video sparks debate about AI taking over
BLACKPINK, consisting of Lisa, Jennie, Rose, Jisoo, were shown having an action-packed fight in an AI video shared online.
The clip features the members engaging in physical altercation as they leave the stage in a hurry, suffering facial injuries.
Reportedly created by Higgsfield, the snippet begins with Lisa getting punched in the face which started a squabble amongst the girl band.
Despite appearing to be an actual clip from the movie, the 55-second video is artificially generated as fans debate about its reality.
One of the X users was left confused, asking: “Is it real or AI? Or script… Does anybody know this??” while another was of the opinion that the author needs to take it down immediately.
Meanwhile, someone admitted they are “scared” with the level of originality it offers.
On the other hand, the group faces criticism for messy tour as fans call them out for their "out of sync" performance. This was seen as a sign of their internal issues.
The move added fuel to their feud rumours as Jennie posted a picture with Rose on her Instagram but later took it down.
