Noah Schnapp is no longer just Will Byers of Stranger Things fame, he’s now a godfather.
The 21-year-old actor revealed this week that his longtime co-star Millie Bobby Brown has kept a promise they made as “little kids” and it’s left him feeling completely honoured.
Speaking on The View, Noah gushed: “Oh, it’s like, such an honour. When we were little kids, she was like, ‘When I have a kid, you’re definitely going to be the godfather to my kid.’
Then we grew up, she had a kid, and now I am.”
Millie, also 21, and her husband Jake Bongiov recently welcomed a baby girl into their lives and it seems the Stranger Things gang just keeps growing closer.
But it’s not all baby bliss for The Tutor actor.
He admitted that saying goodbye to the iconic show, which launched him into superstardom at just 11, will be bittersweet.
The final season drops on Netflix on New Year’s Day, and Noah revealed he’s feeling the nerves about bidding farewell to his Stranger Things family.
“I’m gonna miss like, our family of Stranger Things. Not just the cast, though, the crew, and everyone at Netflix who's worked on it. It’s all kind of just family,” he said.
And when it comes to watching the finale, he isn’t planning to face it alone. “
We’re probably gonna be sobbing the rest of the day, the rest of the month, probably. We’ll sit together as a group and watch it together one last time,” he revealed.
With godfather duties and a final Stranger Things farewell on the horizon, it seems he has a lot of emotional firsts to navigate and we, for one, are ready with the tissues.
