Tyla ‘agrees’ with netizen asking Nicki Minaj to retire

Tyla’s image as an unproblematic celebrity is being re-examined as the Water singer reportedly reposts a social media post dissing Nicki Minaj.

The Chanel hit maker allegedly took to her X to re-share a post by a user by the name of ‘gag city political prisoner’ in which they are seemingly talking about the Barbie World singer.

“Keep that album,” the user began, likely referring to the upcoming album the Trinidadian rapper has been teasing on social media, adding "delete social media and hide yourself from the public. Just go away and never come back."

"You’re done. It’s done. You are too mentally insane to be in the public eye anymore. It was a good run. You accomplished a lot, revived an entire genre but it’s over now” they added with a broken heart emoji.

As per Pop Fusion HQ, the tweet was reposted by Tyla, but the Truth or Dare singer’s account does not show the repost any more.

Internet users took to X, to speculate, “That was not Tyla she was hacked for real!!!” with another adding, “Gonna go drink some water to stand in solidarity with Tyla.”

Notably, Nicki has been under a lot of fire recently for her political views and statements on social media about various minorities.
