Timothee Chalamet is opening up about the one thing that he took from his character Marty Mauser from the highly anticipated Marty Supreme.

The SAG award-winner has been devoted to promoting the movie that comes out on Christmas, and has now discussed the one thing that has stuck with him from the role.

“The assertiveness, the confidence. Sometimes you got to call things as they are, and not tiptoe. Especially as you get older,"the Little Women actor revealed.

"I am about to be 30, I want to look back on my interviews in my 60s and say, ‘Man, I was really speaking the truth and not afraid of the truth,’” he continued.

Timothee also revealed that he could relate to Marty when he was younger and zeroed in on his acting career and dream and that he hopefully has ‘chilled out’ a little bit now.

The Lady Bird star said that he did not consider career paths other than acting, just like Marty and his passion for table tennis.

Notably, the Oscar nominee has repeatedly claimed that Marty Supreme is probably his best performance yet, and has even earned nominations for major awards next year.

Who is 'Marty Supreme' based on?

The Josh Safdie directed film, Marty Supreme is loosely based on American table tennis player Marty Reisman.
