Mandy Moore set to heat up Peacock in new erotic thriller

Mandy Moore is turning up the heat for her next project. 

The This Is Us and Dr. Death star has signed on to lead and executive-produce Teach Me, a new erotic thriller in development at Peacock. 

The series comes from creator Lisa Rubin (Gypsy), alongside A24, Universal Television, and Jessica Rhoades’ Pacesetter Productions (Sharp Objects, Peacock’s upcoming Ponies).

Described as “an ongoing erotic thriller about a teacher wielding power over an impressionable but unreliable student, and what happens when that student becomes the teacher." 

Teach Me promises a twisted cat-and-mouse game exploring sex, power, and addiction. Rubin will write the drama and executive produce alongside Moore, Rhoades, and Alison Mo Massey.

Moore is no stranger to complex roles. 

She is currently filming Hulu’s NFL drama from This Is Us creator Dan Fogelman, portraying the daughter of a team owner and heir apparent to the franchise. 

The actress earned an Emmy nomination for her work on This Is Us, and recent credits include Peacock’s Dr. Death and voice work on Prime Video’s animated series #1 Happy Family USA.

With Teach Me, Moore is poised to showcase a darker, more provocative side of her acting range, marking another bold step in her career.
