Miley Cyrus is officially ready to tie the knot with longtime beau Maxx Morando

The news was first broken by PEOPLE that Cyrus and Morando are engaged, sources confirm.

The engagement rumours first sparked after Cyrus stepped on the red carpet of the Avatar: Fire and Ash world premiere in Los Angeles on Monday, Dec. 1.

However, as per Duex Moi on Instagram, Cyrus was first spotted wearing a ring in public around mid-November.

Francesca Consulting, representing jewellery designer Jacquie Aiche, told the American news outlet that Aiche crafted the “bespoke” piece, a cushion-cut stone set on a chunky 14-karat yellow-gold band.

Cyrus and the drummer first sparked romance buzz in December 2021. They were being spotted getting cosy backstage during her NBC holiday special, Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party, in Miami.

By April 2022, the pair had all but confirmed their relationship when photographers caught them sharing a passionate kiss in West Hollywood.

In her June 2023 British Vogue cover story, Cyrus recalled how their first meeting happened. 

“We got put on a blind date,” the Hannah Montana alum revealed, before joking, “Well, it was blind for me, not really for him. I thought, ‘The worst that can happen is I leave.’”

Cyrus later addressed their six-year age gap in a November 2024 chat with Harper’s Bazaar, saying the difference works because they “don’t take life too seriously,” though she admitted Morando “looks at life really differently than I do.”
