Noah Schnapp says Stranger Things bosses didn’t “Trust” him with shock Season 5 twist.

The 21-year-old actor, whose character Will Byers has been at the heart of the Netflix phenomenon since day one, has confessed he was deliberately kept out of the loop about his jaw-dropping character.

Schnapp only discovered the explosive arc that Will can channel Vecna’s powers in the shower hours before a table read.

Speaking to Variety, he admitted: “Shawn Levy and some of the directors didn’t tell me explicitly, because they never trust me with any of the information. T

hey were just like, ‘Sit tight, be excited.’ I was like, ‘OK, whatever.’”

With scripts arriving barely a week before filming, he finally skim-read Episode 4 while getting ready. “

I got to the end and was like, ‘Oh my God!’ I ran out of the shower screaming.”

The actor said it took “serious self-control” to keep the news quiet especially from the assistant he lived with.

“I was like, ‘Brooke! Oh my God, I have powers!’ I wanted to tell everyone. And then I had to wait two years. But it was the coolest thing ever.”

Noah revealed the Duffer Brothers gave him freedom to shape Will’s supernatural abilities, including mastering the eerie “Demo-vision” scenes.

When will 'Stranger Things' 05 Volume 2 be released?

Stranger Things Season 5 Volume 2 is officially set to arrive on December 25, 2025 on Netflix.
