Louis Tomlinson 'never enjoyed' singing THIS One Direction song

Louis Tomlinson has surprised fans after revealing he “never enjoyed” performing one of One Direction’s most iconic songs.

The singer opened up during a new chat with Capital FM, where he took part in a quick-fire game and kept things brutally honest.

When asked, “What’s the one song you hated performing?” Louis didn’t hesitate. He laughed and said he is an “open book,” then dropped the confession fans didn’t expect.

“So maybe some people wouldn't answer this, but I'm not sure there was a single time I performed what One Direction's 'What Makes You Beautiful' and enjoyed it,” he said.

The hit was the band’s breakout moment in 2011 and remains one of the most recognisable pop songs of the decade. 

But for Louis, the experience on stage was not as fun as it looked. He hinted that the song never fully clicked for him, saying “that always felt like a bit of a challenge,” even though it was a fan favourite at every show.

The clip has quickly spread across social media. Fans shared mixed reactions to the former boy band member's statement. 

While some say they always suspected the song felt “too boyband” for him. Others felt emotional hearing him speak so openly about the band’s early days.

Louis has been honest before about wanting more creative control during the One Direction era.
