The latest season of the mega hit show Stranger Things certainly did not need any more traction, but fans of the show seem to be hyped about the smaller details as well.
Since the show is set in the 1980’s, it is reasonable to expect the timeless hits from the era to be featured on the supernatural series.
The recently dropped episodes contained songs like Rockin’ Robin by Michael Jackson, Upside Down by Diana Ross and Fernando by ABBA.
Soon after the episodes were aired, internet users flocked to social media to mark their excitement over the fact that the 81-year-old, dubbed the ‘Queen of Motown’ was included.
“Diana Ross' Upside Down was featured in Stranger Things Official Spotify Playlist, its means the song was on Stranger Things season five, DIANA ROSS WAS FUCKING FEATURED ON STRANGE THINGS,” one netizen wrote on X.
“Diana Ross, ABBA, and Queen all being on the soundtrack this season is so iconic,” a second added.
A third emphasised, “OBSESSED with the using of upside down by diana ross in stranger things 5. that song being the closing credits after that scene is chefs kiss,” with a kiss print emoji.
Stranger Things season 5 crashed the streaming platform Netflix upon its release, due to an overload of traffic.
