Katy Perry is talking about her newly released song bandaids and revealing if it has a place on her next studio album.
The song, which shows the Roar hit maker facing a series of negative circumstances, is speculated to be a representation of her navigating her break up with her ex Orlando Bloom and the negative reception of her seventh studio album, 147.
In a live stream, the Dark Horse singer was asked if the track was a part of ‘KP7’ which she initially misunderstood for the qipao style dress she was wearing.
Katy then stated, “I think this song really encapsulates just what’s going on in my life currently, and whether that starts a new path or not, I think what its really doing is just clearing the path to the next location.”
The 41-year-old’s somewhat cryptic remark could be an indicator of the end of her romance with Orlando and the beginning of a new love story with Justin Trudeau as well, since the song has similar themes of heartbreak.
Notably, the Harleys in Hawaii singer has not announced a new album as of yet, or even hinted at any such thing but netizens speculate if the new song could be included in an upcoming album.
Katy and Orlando’s split is speculated to be due to work pressure and something that was inevitably going to take place since they had been spending time apart a while before they announced the separation.
