Victoria Beckham was every inch the proud wife as she watched her husband officially become Sir David Beckham, and declared she would “forever cherish” the moment.
The 50-year-old former England football captain was knighted by King Charles during a grand investiture ceremony at Windsor Castle on Tuesday, in recognition of his services to sport and charity.
Standing by his side in a chic black ensemble, the 51-year-old former Spice Girl, couldn’t hold back her pride.
Taking to Instagram, she gushed: “David, from the moment I met you, you’ve always been so proud to represent your country. To see you honoured by The King today is something I’ll forever cherish.”
The fashion designer praised her husband of 26 years as “the same kind, humble, hardworking man” she met nearly three decades ago, adding, “I’ve never felt prouder than I do today. Sir @davidbeckham, we all love you so much xxx.”
Adding a stylish twist to the royal occasion, Beckham received his knighthood wearing a bespoke charcoal-grey morning suit designed by Victoria’s label.
This was notably his first custom piece from her menswear collection.
Even King Charles was reportedly “quite impressed” with the dapper design.
“He’s the most elegantly dressed man I know — he inspired this look!" Becks later quipped.
