Ed Sheeran freaks out fans with hilarious Halloween prank

Ed Sheeran, who has always wowed his fans with his vocals, has now terrified them with his latest Halloween look.

The 32-year-old singer has turned New York City into his own spooky playground, and he did it in style.

The Perfect crooner was spotted clowning around the Big Apple dressed as Pennywise with the iconic red balloon, the terrifying ginger-haired villain from Stephen King’s It.

Ed was seen fully embracing the eerie vibe of his clown persona, sipping coffee in a local café, munching pizza on a bench, enjoying a pint at a bar, and even waving cheerfully to children on the street.

One fan-favourite video shows a time-lapse of the Shape of You singer getting the full Pennywise transformation, wig and prosthetics included.

“In for a Penny,” the pop star cheekily captioned the post, showing his playful side.

This isn’t the first time he has used Halloween as a chance to go viral. 

Last year, he dressed as his own meme, an AI-generated image of himself as a mischievous monkey, jokingly captioning the snap, “Haters will say it’s AI #halloweenbruv #feltcutemightdeletelater.”

Fans were quick to praise the singer for his hilarious and slightly spooky antics, calling him “the king of Halloween” and “the most dedicated clown in NYC.”
