Julia Fox’s Halloween costume has stirred controversy on the internet since it represents a very emotional time in American history.

The Uncut Gems actress wore a pink suit, reminiscent of the one Jackie Kennedy was wearing, the day that John Fitzgerald Kennedy, the former President of the United States was assassinated.

At the time, since the first lady was with the wounded head of state, her clothes got bloodied and she refused to take them off as she stood by the next President Lyndon Johnson and even get them cleaned later on.

Julia’s outfit choice for the celebratory event has been defended by the actress herself in a lengthy Instagram post.

“Her decision not to change clothes, even after being encouraged to, was an act of extraordinary bravery. It was performance, protest, and mourning all at once. A woman weaponizing image and grace to expose brutality. It’s about trauma, power, and how femininity itself is a form of resistance,” she wrote, referring to Jackie.

Meanwhile the eyebrow raising look has also earned a comment from the late first lady’s grandson, Jack Schlossberg, who took to X to write how he felt about Julia’s look.

“Julia Fox glorifying political violence is disgusting, desperate and dangerous. I’m sure her late grandmother would agree,” he scathingly wrote.

Notably, the outfit has also sparked outrage among many netizens who believe that it was insensitive and in bad taste.

What is Julia Fox's style?
