Fans have been eagerly awaiting news concerning the renewal of Chad Powers after the success of its first season.
The Glen Powell series ended on October 28, 2025, with no clear news of its future.
Showrunner Michael Waldron has hinted at the response of the audience being the deciding factor for a possible continuation.
Having created the series alongside Waldron, Powell is open to making a return, admitting that it was one of the most enjoyable projects he has ever worked on.
“I’ve never had such a good time making anything,” he told The Wrap.
Expressing his gratitude over the experience and the response the series has received, he continued, “When you get to collaborate with one of your best pals and make something that you love so much and that brings such joy to people … I just really feel so proud that we’ve done this first season and when you feel that way, you always make time.”
Waldron has remained more vague about his desires, simply remarking, “If folks dig it, we’ll make more.”
“A former college quarterback attempts a comeback by posing as a walk-on player for a struggling football team,” reads the synopsis of Chad Powers.
