Lorde teases new music after success of 'Virgin'

Lorde drops major hints of new upcoming songs amid celebrations of her last successful hit album Virgin.

The 28-year-old pop star recently wrapped up her Ultrasound world tour to promote her latest album released earlier this June 2025.

The singer came back to release her album four years after the release of Solar Power.

While speaking to Variety in an interview, she was presented with the question of her ideas for future progress and how long fans would have to wait for new music again.

I mean, I’m excited to find out,” she responded.

“I’m definitely feeling very active and not needing a break from being creative. I’m feeling kind of insatiable, to be honest.” the Team singer said.

Lorde explained the idea behind the album as “very raw and unadorned – I really tried not to dramatise or dress anything up – so I knew that approach had to continue over to the tour.”

The Ribs hitmaker continued to talk about her wish to do more dance: “My big takeaway from that was like, ‘You need to go and do some dance’. Because I felt not very in my body and I knew that it needed to be this freer, rawer movement.”

The Royals vocalist added: “And then it ended up being rawer than that, but I did spend a lot of time just trying to like get into these songs on a physical level.”
