Cate Blanchett is one of the most celebrated actresses of the 21st century who has given multiple iconic performances.
The Australian actress boasts a strong acting portfolio which has won her many awards including two Oscars.
Now, the 56-year-old is set to receive another grand honour.
Cate will be honoured with Icon Award at the Camerimage film festival.
The award is given to artists who have feats in the art of cinematography.
Praising Cate’s contribution to the field of entertainment and performing arts, the director of the event Marek Żydowicz said she is an artist “who simply cannot be overlooked.”
“With their sensitivity, charisma, and exceptional craft, they create unforgettable roles and bring a unique atmosphere wherever they appear. One such figure is the two-time Oscar winner Cate Blanchett.”, he added.
Marek called Cate “an extraordinary individual” who treats every conversation like a singular event.
“It is this sensitivity and attentiveness to the world around her that make her performances unforgettable, inspiring audiences worldwide.”, he explained.
Cate has been nominated for Oscar many times in the Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress categories.
She has won the Academy Awrd twice, in 2005 for The Aviator and later in 2014 for Blue Jasmine.
