Kristen Bell reveals why Adam Brody did not want to work in 'Nobody Wants This'

Kristen Bell opened up about why her friend, Adam Brody was not up for the romantic-comedy series amid the release of the upcoming season.

The famous Netflix series Nobody Wants This, premiered on October 23 stars both actors as the main leads and was first released in 2024.

Now with the forthcoming sequel of the series, The actress who voiced the famous Frozen’s character, Elsa spoke up about the struggle she had to face to convince her now co-star.

She also revealed why Adam was hesitant to do the rom-com in the recently published interview with Red magazine.

Kristen stated that once she read the script she knew it was him but since he was ‘reluctant to play a romantic lead’, it took her months to convince him.

She added how she is still shocked that he said yes due to his lack of interest at that time.

The 45-year-old actress claimed that as soon as she read the script, she knew ‘it was him' since they have previously worked on numerous projects, including House of Lies, Some Girl(S) and Scream 4.

She continued further as she praised Welcome to the Jungle star, calling him a ‘cookie-cutter’, “he sort of defies all of the things you think he is – he'll pop up in weird projects here and there, and only does work he feels is meaningful.”

It is to be noted that the Golden Globe Awards predicted that the ‘people would feel that too’ about Adam and that this character is for him.
