Kylie Jenner is looking back at her 2019 gold dress moment, from Justin and Hailey Bieber’s wedding that had sparked backlash.
The Kylie Cosmetics owner had attended the pair’s South Carolina wedding in a metallic, gold gown with a plunging neckline and other cutouts exposing skin.
Since the dress was so grand and attention grabbing, it sparked a lot of backlash for being too much and being an attempt to outshine the Rhode founder.
In her latest sit-down interview for Vogue’s Life in Looks series, the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star revealed that the dress seemingly caused no bad blood between her and her bestie, even though others were a little “upset” with it.
Kylie said that the bride and the groom didn’t care about what she was wearing, or at least so she thinks, jokingly adding “Hailey call me, if you have an issue,” with the look from years ago.
The mother-of-two seems to have realised the slight extra-ness of the dress since she admitted she probably wouldn’t wear the dress now to a wedding, clarifying that she was under the impression that people would be going all out at the time.
Notably, Kylie also disclosed that had a great time at the ceremony and was one of the last people to leave the celebration.
Kylie’s brand Kylie Cosmetics’s 51% is reportedly owned by beauty giant Coty.
